What are the methods of driving injection mold processing?

2023-05-06
1. Electromechanical drive
For example, punching machines, friction presses, roll forging machinery, etc., are all powered and rotated by electric motors to drive the transmission mechanism, and are connected to the Mold's moving parts through sliders to drive the mold's directional movement. The transmitted driving force is applied to the mold to form and process the material.
2. Electro hydraulic drive
The Injection Molding motor drives the hydraulic pump or water pump to generate hydraulic pressure and water pressure, and through the hydraulic transmission and control system of the liquid, a certain rated pressure is generated to drive the hydraulic cylinder or piston connected to the moving part of the mold (such as the moving mold), driving the moving mold to move in a directional translation relative to the fixed mold, and then further compressing the material to make it a workpiece after forming and processing.

3. Pneumatic forming

Mainly used for suction molding and blow molding processing, that is, when the mold is in a fixed state, a certain negative pressure is generated by an air pump to directly suck the plastic sheet onto the mold surface, forming a workpiece. Blowing molding is the process of generating a certain pressure of gas through an air pump to blow into the blank cavity of a hot melt plastic or hot melt glass workpiece, causing it to expand, deform, and adhere to the surface of the mold cavity, forming a workpiece.
4. Injection mold processing drivers, such as aluminum alloy profiles, plastic profiles, sheets, or films, generally use extrusion forming processes. The mold is fixed on the machine head, and the material is extruded through the mold to make various parts by relative movement of the mold. Plastic profiles rely on the continuous spiral motion of the screw of the extrusion machine to squeeze plastic into the mold and pass through the mold surface, which is then cooled and shaped to form the material. The extruded profile is pulled forward by the traction mechanism for continuous forming processing.
